High Resolution Forest Masking for Seasonal Monitoring with a Regionalized and Colourimetrically Assisted Chorologic Typology

چکیده
Comparisons of recent global forest products at higher resolutions that are only available annually have shown major disagreements among forested areas in highly fragmented landscapes. A holistic reductionist framework and colourimetry were applied to create a chorologic typology environmental indicators map extent with an emphasis on large-scale performance, interpretability/communication, spatial–temporal scalability. Interpretation keys created identify non-forest features, set candidate tree cover indices developed compared decision matrix prescribed criteria. Very High Resolution Parametric and Non- Parametric Sartomography Methods for Monitoring Urban Areas Structures
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is the only way to evaluate deformation of the Earth’s surface from space on the order of centimeters and millimeters due to its coherent nature and short wavelengths. Hence, by this means the long term risk monitoring and security are performed as precisely as possible. Traditional SAR imaging delivers a projection of the 3-D object to the two dimensional (2-D) a...

15 صفحه اولA Simulation of Image-Assisted Forest Monitoring for National Inventories
The efficiency of national forest monitoring efforts can be increased by the judicious incorporation of ancillary data. For instance, a fixed number of ground plots might be used to inform a larger set of annual estimates by observing a smaller proportion of the plots each year while augmenting each annual estimate with ancillary data in order to reduce overall costs while maintaining a desired...

In the current study, 2002 AVIRIS and 2006 AISA high resolution imagery were applied to the spectroscopic investigation of spatio-temporal variations in forest chemistry. Focused primarily on the foliar biochemistry of Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) stands within the Greater Victoria Watershed, Victoria, BC, Canada, samples were collected and relationships between chemistry and reflectance...
متن کاملA High-Reliability, High-Resolution Method for Land Cover Classification Into Forest and Non-forest
We present several methods for per-region land-cover classification based on distances on probability distributions and whole-region probabilities. We present results on using this method for locating forest areas in high-resolution aerial images with very high reliability, achieving more than 95% accuracy, using raw radiometric channels as well as derived color and texture features. Region bou...
